Happy New Year!

Maryna Linchuk для Miss Dior Chérie

I have been waiting all of 2008 to count up my reading stats. Drum roll please… Total books read in 2008: 86.

86 might seem like small fries to my fellow superhuman speed reading book bloggers out there, but trust me when I say I like to flaunt the number to my real life acquaintances.  In most cases, I get the satisfaction of seeing their mouths drop open as they unanimously proclaim: “You’re out of your mind!”  Personally, I think I’m out of my mind cool because reading stacks and stacks of books makes you cool folks and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.

  1. I LOVE the Miss Dior Cherie perfume ads. I love the perfume too, if only it weren’t $60!!

Anyway, congrats on reading so many books! I don’t usually tell my friends/acquintances how many books I’ve read until they’re very, very close. lol

  2. That looks like a great reading year. My stats is a measly 47, I think it’s the lowest of all the blogs i have read 🙂

  3. I teach “Speak” to my freshman English classes. Definitely one of the best YA books for getting students (especially girls) to think seriously about some very grown-up, “this-can’t-happen-to-me” issues. I read it in about 8 hours. 🙂
