Twilight Prom

I stumbled upon a site called Polyvore.com last night care of my WordPress reference list. This site allows you to play dress up, create fun outfits, put together fashion collages, etc… It sort of reminds me of that scene from Clueless where Cher (Alicia Silverstone) picks out her school clothes via computer. In 1995, I thought that was pretty technosavvy and now I get to pick out a virtual outfit like Cher!

So the image above is my first experiment at dress up. I designed an outfit around the cover art of Twilight all the while thinking to myself: “Hmmm, I wonder which handbag will match the red apple on the cover?” I think I was also trying to recreate Bella’s blue prom dress, although not on purpose. Without further ado, I entitle this fashion show “Twilight Prom.”

I’m definitely going to tinker around Polyvore some more. Expect more book/character inspired outfits to come! Mixing books and fashion? I think I’ve died and gone to heaven.

  1. This sounds awesome. If only I could make those clothes show up in my closet now.

Yeah, it’s too bad you can’t actually wear the clothes unless you’re willing to max out your credit card. I’ll settle for looking at them.

  3. Those clothes look great next to the book cover! Fun!

  4. Uh, no. hers was supposed to be longer.

  5. let me think NO!! thats not even close to bellas dress. her dress is deap sea blue if you read the books you would know that. And her dress is longer with layers on it. It wasnt straples, she didnt have a perse with it. and she didnt wear a necklace like that.
